Robert: Yes, V.x rhytidophylloides 'Alleghany' is a very tough and tolerant plant. Looks a bit tattered in spring, but lovely leaves the rest of the year. It does very well in my garden, and I have found it roots very easily from cuttings, too. The plain species V.rhyidophyllum is more demanding, but a good gardening friend has it growing along the north side of his house, and it has done well for years. Good luck with your Trillium trays!
