Snowdrop ID
« on: March 13, 2007, 06:15:10 AM »
Can anyone help with the ID of this snowdrop. I found it naturalised in a piece of long abandoned parkland, so presumably not a new cultivar! I was wondering if it could be G. caucasicus?

Thanks for your help
Aaron

G. caucasicus is now elwesii var monostictus meaning it has a single green mark. The leaves whould be quite broad with a good dusting of grey - glaucous. Do have a photo that shows the leaves

When the swifts arrive empty the green house

hopefully this picture shows a bit more of the leaves - they were very grey and broad.
