Anemone Multifida - too big and wrong leaf.
« on: May 31, 2009, 12:43:28 PM »
I was given two plants of this by my mother, and was a bit surprised how high they have grown as I was expecting 300mm according to my book, and mine are 600 to 700mm

Not only that but the flowers are said to be 25mm dia, and mine are 50mm.  The flower colour and structure is correct to A.Multifida - pale yellow, etc.

The leaf is also not nearly as incised as I'm seeing in pictures and the description, and is more like a buttercup leaf.

Any ideas for me to search on, as these plants don't fit in with the several sources I've looked at.

Thanks

Perhaps Anemone sylvestris (though these flowers are white when in full bloom)?
