Ever since first reading John Mickels book "Ferns for the american garden" a couple of years ago, I have kept an eye open for these ferns, but have not been able to track them down, or even seeing them in real life. This morning I started reading in the new "Encyclopedia of garden ferns" by Sue Olsen, and she also raves about the qualities of these plants. I know calling them alpines is to stretch it, but where else can I turn? All that is needed is a small part of a fertile leaf.
I would of course gladly pay costs, or swap (fernlike or otherwise).
Oh, and by the way; I highly recommend both books mentioned above for anyone with a affection for ferns.
