When Jacintas gall stones play up she stops eating things sweet or cakey and switches to fruit and her weight comes down quite swiftly, so nothing sinister in eating good, looking good and (hopefully) feeling good :)

Good to hear you are mending, keep up the good work.

Yes Mark, although the GP avoided the 'S-word', we appear to have all had Swine flu, either that or some other new flu virus is sweeping Britain.  Clearly whatever it was none of us had any immunity to it.  Two of us had nasty throat and sinus infections as a consequence which linger on (and on in my case) after the flu symptoms depart - good news is that for the other two it was relatively mild, just as the advice suggests.

Take care Lesly,
But, watch out with chocolate!

My grand children transform chocolate into an energetic fuel I call "Babythanol".
After eating chocolate, they begin to run here and there for 1 or 2 hours.
Imagine in what kind of fuel could a gardeno-maniac transform chocolate!!
Weedothanol?? Digothanol??

Hope you will get well again.

Thanks you both very much. I'm feeling a little better each day and if the weather holds, there's plenty incentive to go out and worship crocuses right now. Funnily enough, I haven't felt the slightest need to go near chocolate. If that lasts it must be a good result. :D Years ago when I went to weight watchers and bemoaned the fact that I couldn't have chocoalate cake, I was told that I soon wouldn't WANT choco cake. But I said that I didn't want not to want it. Which just shows how perverse and foolish I can be. :-\
