Help
« on: February 18, 2012, 07:01:40 PM »
I'm a beginner who's making many beginner mistakes - but learning.  I have some plants that have germinated and gotten some leaves - soon to pot up.  My mistake was using a marker that came off - I had it under a dome and the moisture erased it.  Is there a place I can look to identify them by the leaves?  Some I know for sure but others I have no clue - can't wait till I've learned more but most of the alpines are new to me this year.  Thanks - the learner.

Hi Sue
Perhaps you should post some pics if possible directly here.
There will surely bepeople who will perhaps recognize the seedlings, or give you a first possible answer to what it is/could be.

The seed site has photos of seedlings.  If you have the names of the seeds
you sowed, you can look here to see what the seedlings should look like.

Thank you Phillipe and Diane.  The site will be very useful - I had found one but it really didn't have much in it yet tho I identified a few.  I have the names of all the seeds and now I have a marker that won't 'wash' off :-)  I am making so many 'newbie' mistakes but that said I am learning tons.  I've now discovered that once germinated you should move the seedlings off the heating mat :-)  Luckily I am a very determined woman and I will keep on trying.  Thanks again.  Sue
