Daphnes

at the start of this thread I showed 2 photos of small daphnes growing in a small Dublin garden. I went back yesterday during judging of the Dublin AGS show. I was running around like a blue a** fly. The owner, Brendan Marnell - thanks! - has 50 small Daphnes all labelled and looking fantastic in the bright sunshine. I was taking notes but soon lost my place so the photos will have to do. I usually take a photo of a label before photographing a plant but in my excitement I forgot. Best plants were D. calcicola - I want one - and very dark dirty pink x rollsdorfii

Cracking photos Mark, I wish that I had gardens like that near where I live.
The smell must have been amazing.

Ian the strongest smell in the garden was a huge Rhododendron 'Lady Alice'. That's the splash of white in the background. What a great use of stones to make the walls. A narrow paths leads around the bed
