The best Narcissus fly ID page in the world!
« on: October 27, 2009, 11:18:39 PM »
From now on there should be no more questions asking what does a Narcissus fly look like. Here they are in all colour forms, maggots and damage on one page.

Good pics from our evil enemy. Now everybody knows what it is. But how are the differences  to other hover flys. That is the real problem.
If you want to see a pic of narcissus fly wedding, or if you want to hear the sound of narcissus flys, so look here: http://www.engelmannii.de/bilder/galanthus/narzissenfliege.htm
But it`s in German language.

Oder Ihr wollt es einfach nur in deutsch lesen ;).

An excellent resource Mark. They are amazing bumblebee mimics, even down to the fact that the different forms resemble different speices of bumblebee.

THanks Anne and Armin. There is a problem with the page but so far I cant fix it. The hover and dronefly photos are off to the left when they should be in the middle
