Lilium michauxii (Carolina Lily)
« on: March 31, 2010, 09:50:25 AM »
Dear Forumists,
Do you have any ideas as to where I might find seeds (anywhere) or bulbs (within EU) of this lily.
I wondered if there was a US seed company that specialised in native flora that you knew of?
Many thanks,
Giles

I don't think Kristl at Gardens North is listing it, though it wouldn't hurt to ask her......http://www.gardensnorth.com/site/

Alpains in Colorado don't list it....http://www.alplains.com/

Giles,

Remind me later in the year.... I attempted to collect this last year, but there was no seed set with all the rain. Maybe this year. My one plant in the garden does not look like it will flower this year.

Thankyou for your postings and private PM's.
I'll be in touch Aaron, if I have no success elsewhere.
I'm hoping that it might be in the NALS seed exchange, but the postie seems to be struggling to make his away across the pond......

Thankyou, David.
I'm afraid I wasn't a donor, so will have a go when I get back tomorrow.
