How charming Gentiana aquatica is - what a pity that we see so little of these annual species. I think that there seems to be a general disregard for annual species of such plants when they might provide great interest to grow? Scarcity of seed is the main one, I suppose- but there are many other little annuals from the mountains and wild areas of the world that we seldom see grown. Makes me wonder if there may be something aligned to Tim Ingram's view of the emphasis on growing for showing in some circles that has led to this situation?
