Griffinia
« on: January 04, 2011, 06:28:20 PM »
Hi,

Looking for some advice on Griffinia. Had this given to me and sent from Brazil over three years ago as a single bulb/corn and although it has grown well and gets larger all the time, it never flowers.

Any special advice on flower requirements gratefully appreciated.

Thanks in advance David.

Ps sorry about pic quality as they were taken with my phone.

This is one of the better grown Griffinias I have ever seen, really superb.

Evergreen foliage, winter dryish dormant. Water during late spring, summer, and autumn.

Warm subtropical conditions. As with Hippeastrums, plants are able to flower when a certain numberof leaves is produced. Like Eucharis and Neomaricas, can be grown as an indoor plant.
