as you can see, i am going through the sax threads on a lazy afternoon...lol
this one looks great with the semps--nice complementary texture and of course totally different flowers..

As you can see Maggie, Saxifraga paniculata var. minutifolia here together with Sax. cochlearis 'Minor' in our tufa garden are spectacular cushions and very attractive all year.
Besides this both species are flowering abundant every summer and without any problem. I should be a must for every rock garden.
