Aberrant leaf variegations

In the last month or so a few plants in my Johannesburg garden have responded to the arrival of spring with new growth. Three of them seem to show similar aberrant symptoms which I'm not sure of the cause - nutrient deficiency, co-incidence, environmental factors?

The Digitalis was the first to show and it's planted in the open garden. New leaves seems to be normal.

Next I noticed this variegated portion on a Pelargonium cultivar:

And lastly, a Gloxinia cultivar that has had normal green leaves since I obtained it has leafed out like this:
