Snowdrop Conference 18th February 2011 at RBG Edinburgh

On Friday 18th  February 2011 the SRGC, in partnership with RBGE , Cambo Snowdrops and Christie's Nursery, will host a one day Snowdrop Conference  at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh.

9.30 am — 5.00 pm


The day will have the title
 "Snowdrops, Spring Bulbs and You - a Celebration of Spring"
 Speakers for the day will be Peter Erskine, Brian Duncan, Catherine Erskine, Richard Hobbs and Ian Christie.

The Conference fee will be £35 for the day to include registration, lectures, guided tour, buffet lunch and refreshements.

Please make cheques payable to Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

Catherine Erskine, will talk about Snowdrops and Scottish tourism how they got started with snowdrops at Cambo.

Richard Hobbs   'Snowdrops '

Brian Duncan,     'Life after Snowdrops'
Lunch  first set  
Tour round the garden 1hr

Lunch second set
Tour round the garden 1hr

Ian Christie,  ' Some recent snowdrop finds in Scotland. '

Peter Erskine  '25 years on GreenSand '

Questions and answer   finish 5pm


Remember: deadline for registrations is 4th February

 Well "our" David Mitchell, SRGC Member and RBGE curator does get about a lot, it must be  said....http://www.rbge.org.uk/whats-on/event-details/1520   and then there are his appearances in the BBC Potting Shed too...... 8) ;)

Yes, I think that while Dave was good enough to model the jumper for publicity purposes he is much more of a natural plantsman than he is a clothes horse.
