Adonis amurense 'Sihtihenge'
« on: March 19, 2011, 04:37:50 PM »
Two years ago I bought Adonis amurense 'Sihtihenge' I am not sure it is right. All pictures I have seen of this Adonis does not look like the one I have.  Is there some who grow this Adonis or could tell me if it is right or not?

Karl,

as far as I know Adonis 'Shichi Henge' can have different kinds of flowers (double, single,...) on the same plant so yours could be right. But maybe one of our Japanese friends can shed more light on this.

Wim; Thank you for your answer. The picture I send was the first flower, but all other flower on the plant is also single. I call it Shichi-Henge' until there are some the say it is not 'Shichi-Henge' Today one of my new Adonis open the flower. It is very diffrent from all other Adonis, The name is 'Sadono Maboroshi'

Wonderful Karl. It's really different, isn't it. If I'm right it will become white after a couple of days.
