Galanthamine is being used to help alzheimer sufferers .

Galantamine cannot cure dementia or Alzheimer's disease but it can slow down the progression of dementia and can help to ease the symptoms of memory loss, confusion and changes in behaviour. It works by increasing the amount of a natural chemical in the brain called acetylcholine which is known to be lower in people suffering from Alzheimer's dementia..

The alcohol might have the opposite affect  ;)

Galantamine can cause lucid dreams. I have enough of those already, maybe my snowdrops are to blame  ???

http://www.dreamamins.com/ Pills containing galantamine to improve lucid dreams  :o

So perhaps not a recipe for the "Cook's Corner" thread then. :D

I guess it depends on the cook ?
