Lake Como
« on: March 07, 2011, 08:42:10 PM »
A few images captured in the vicinity of Lake Como today and yesterday.

Drove to Madesimo yesterday and up on the gondola to the ski areas ... magnificent sunshine and glorious snow conditions.
Drove back along the lake which was in full sun but shrouded in a beautiful haze.
Flower images captured today in the no-man's area between the Swiss and Italian borders near Val Mara, on the shores of Lake Lugano.

Aaah, Lugano - Monte San Salvatore where the pinkish Helleborus niger grows. You should not miss them Cliff  :)
Luit van Delft, right in the heart of the beautiful flowerbulb district, Noordwijkerhout, Holland.

Sadly Luit died on 14th October 2016 - happily we can still enjoy his posts to the Forum

Cliff:

Check out the Rockefeller Institute on top of the hill.  Not a bad place to go and contemplate life.
