What to do next Wednesday afternoon in Dublin
«

I'm going to Dublin for a conference this weekend and have all next Wednesday afternoon free between the end of the conference and my evening flight home. Can anyone recommend something plant related to do? I've already checked and sadly, Helen Dillon's garden isn't open.
All ideas most welcome.
Thanks
Sue

My favourite place is the botanic gardens. You will easily spend over 2 hours there. The cafe serves brilliant food and coffee.
How long do you have? Jimi Blakes garden, Co Wicklow, would be very worth while

Sue, I can't think of anything more plant related than a few pints of Guiness

You can't do better than the Botanics, Sue.... coffee and cake etc!! Oh yes, the plants are good, too... for instance, they have a lovely collection of Vireya Rhododendrons that are always interesting.

Thanks all!
I'm not staying very far from the Botanics so will probably try to get there at least once, I'm also making a trip to see the Book of Kells - conference presentations or not!
Mark - thanks for the info about Hunting Brook garden - depending on the buses I may try and get there
David - I'll be taking your advice as I'll be 'incrementing' as an old friend used to say while I'm away
Maggie - cakes sound good!
Thanks again
