Mountain trip in North Norway
« on: July 04, 2011, 08:59:24 AM »
Yesterday we took a trip up a mountain here in my area. This mountain has a lot of limestone and is well known for hosting may different species. I want to give you an impression of what you can see in North Norway:

Through the mountain birch forest, and the plants we saw there:
Betula pubescens ssp. czerepanovii
Cornus suecica
Moneses uniflora
Pyrola minor
Pyrola rotundifolia
Trollius europaeus
Dactylorhiza fuchsii
Trientalis europaea

Thank you, actually the water you see is a fjord, not a lake.

Magnar, many thanks for sharing this trip with us. What marvelous countryside to explore and enjoy with your family.
And I do not simply say this because the plants you show are among my most favourite wildflowers!

What a lovely family outing. The flowers are just beautiful as are the scenes, especially from mountain top to the sea. Thanks for sharing your day with us Magnar. :-*

Some super pics Magnar and some super plants. Don't think one can better the Dryas. Seeing those wonderful spreads of Dryas reminds me what a wonderful choice our founding fathers made for the emblem for our club.
