Which mini daffodil?
«
on:

This clump of daffodils comes up every year in a pot in the garden. It doesn't seem to match anything I have planted in the past. Does anyone know it's name?
The plant is about 20cm tall. The flowers are just over 40mm across; trumpet 17mm x 10mm, 12mm at mouth.
It resembles 'Tete-a-tete' but only ever seems to have solitary flowers and is rather smaller.
thanks
Aaron

Yes I suspect it's 'Tete-a-tete' too Aaron. In my experience established plants usually produce no more than one smallish flower per scape. Nice though.

Thanks Ashley, you are probably right. We do have a pot full of 'Tete-a-tete' which has been undisturbed for more than 12 years, these regularly produce solitary flowers though never as small as this plant.

Michael - Here is Van Sion (aka Telemonius Plena)) so I think you can safely rule that one out as it's not small.

Oh golly, that's the one that grew and still grows in a clump on the grass verge across the road from our previous house. I was always afraid Roger might have a frightening moment and introduce it to the garden. Mercifully we moved before he did so.
