House plant with pink bell shaped flowers
« on: September 15, 2011, 11:37:22 PM »
I just in from giving a talk where I obtained a house plant I have never seen before.

It has succulent type leaves and large pale pink bell shaped flowers. The anthers form the hammer.

Sorry no photo of the flowers

A gesneriad of some kind?  Chirita, maybe?  Not sure what you mean by "the anthers forming the hammer"... ?

Thanks everyone

I need to repot it. Looks like I can keep it outside in the summer and autumn months but it must be frost free over the winter
