Photographs Needed
« on: August 29, 2011, 01:06:54 AM »
Hi All,

Is anyone able to help with pictures---or undertake to photograph the following????
These will ultimately go into my book on native species of eastern Canada.
Obviously you will receive credit. Unfortunately I am not able to pay for the photographs.
Photos need to be high (print) quality.
I am looking for the species, not hybrids/forms.
The "body parts" required are noted.

Anemonella thalictroides (plant in flower and seed receptacle)
Asclepias purpurascens (flower)
Vernonia gigantea (flower, seed receptacle)
Carex muskingumensis (form, flower/seed)
Lilium michiganense (flowers, seed pods)
Campanulastrum americanum (flower)
Veratrum viride (flowers; ripe seed receptacle, or close up of same)
Campsis radicans (seed receptacle)
Aronia arbutifolia (flower, fruit)
Cornus florida (flower, fruit)
Sassafras albidum (flower, fruit)
Fraxinus quadrangulata (seed)
Arisaema dracontium (ripe fruit)
Deschampsia caespitosa (plant, seed culm)
Nyssa sylvatica (male flowers)
Streptopus amplexifolius (flowers, fruit)

Thanks so much if you can help.

I could do Carex muskingumensis, but it's probably past the flowers now. I'll have a look tomorrow.

I have in flower, Turkish Liliies, white and orange.

Do any of those go to seed, if so gladly give them to you Kristi

Its been debated what a purple flower was going to be, I have it down as Veronica but not your name. I was growing all summer Liatris which I presumed were about 2ft but they have reached almost four foot.

While they were growing the thought was Veronica for the Liatris lolol

Kristl,
I left you a PM at the NARGS site to say that I have photos of Veratrum viride from the local Rockies, but I think you may not have seen it, so I'll repeat it here.  I'll have to dig up the photos (as I unfortunately lost all my photo labels from the old computer so this will be a bit of a challenge) but can send them to see if they suit your purposes.
