I have T. okanaganense in a trough. It is just about invisible until it flowers then vanishes again soon after, though I've been able to get a little seed from it. It's cute and welcome to do its little thing when it wishes. :)

Can you (or anybody else) tell me what the difference is between T. calycinum and T. spinescens?

(Wislizenus s.n. [MO]). - D: S und C USA (Missouri und
Nebraska, S-wärts bis Arkansas und Texas), im
wesentlichen W des Mississippi; sandige Böden. I:
Britton & Brown (1913: 37).
= Claytonia calycina (Engelmann) Kuntze (1891);
incl. Talinum teretifolium Torreg (1853) (nom. illeg.,
Art. 53.1).

[2] Aufrechte, mehrjährige Kräuter mit ziemlich
verdicktem Wustock und aufrechten Tr bis 3 - 10 cm
hoch; Blä fast stielrund, 2.5 - 7 cm x 1 - 2 mm Ø,
zugespitzt; Inf cymös mit Bra an jeder Gabelung;
Infstiel schlank, 6 - 23 cm; Ped schlank; Sep eiförmig
bis ± kreisrund, 4.5 - 5.5 x 5 - 6 mm, oft bis zur Frzeit
ausdauernd; Pet breit eiförmig, 10 - 15 x 5 - 9 mm, lila;
St 25 - 45; Na kopfig; Fr kugeligeiförmig, 6 - 7 x 4.5
