You've got time on your hands because you're not cooking today Angie. I've got time on my hands because it's now tomorrow (Boxing Day) here. Banks and shops will be open - they were only closed on Christmas Day - even the banks, which open (until 4 p.m.) seven days a week, except Thursdays and Fridays, when they open 'til 7 p.m.!

You're joking surely. No bank opens here except Monday to Friday and only to 4.30pm on those days. Never seen a bank open at the weekend any time in my life! Will be lucky this week if they're open before Wednesday (taking an extra day because Christmas Day was a Sunday and they'd be closed then anyway so making up). Kiwibank opens until 5.30pm, M to F but not till Wed this week, same next week after NYD. Boxing Day sales yes, all shops open but who has any money left. Great day for credit card sales. I learnt to avoid that long ago as it takes until NEXT Christmas to get it all paid for.

Yes, it is hard. Maren is 4 and the twins, Sophie and Charlotte are 1,5 years old. We use facetime with the iPad, and this works fantastic for us. Maren already is very good with the iPad. Children just do it and don't ask questions, why. It is amazing.

Well it's like my children and grand children with computers. They were born with them so to speak so they're "natural." As I was with cars whereas my mother struggled with learning to drive for years then gave up completely. The technology which is there when one is born and growing up has no "magic"  quality to it, just part of the way things are.

When I go to your link David, I get the thread about Sax. florulenta. Tried it several times. Why is that?

I think anyone who feels grotty (and I feel decidedly grotty this morning!) should watch the video. it works wonders.

Couple of glasses of red and a single malt to welcome in the New Year and nothing at all last night. Wouldn't have minded if I'd earned feeling grotty!
