I have a plant of Primula elatior subsp. pseudoelatior growing in the tiny pot I bought it in last year. Is it naturally tiny or is due to being kept in the pot? Is it suitable for trough? Does it have any special requirements

Well, I'd describe it as a fairly "neat" plant - fairly small in stature.
