Maladies in snowdrops

I have this malady just in my Galanthus reginae-olgae ssp reginae-olgae
all other pots with other Galanthus have no problem
does someone has an idea
same problem as last years
also in P9 pots with single bulbs and fresh potting-soil
they looked healthy till January (and flowered)
in February they wither

Is there anything left of the bulb?

I didn't want to disturb the remains
but I can have a look tomorrow
if there is left something

I had a look in two P9 pots with one bulb
where the leaves where "rotten"
in both pots the bulbs looked healthy

I don't know if the bulbs did grow
roots are white and look healthy too
potting soil is not wet but also not bone dry

about 10% of the plants have this "illness"

Has there been any grey mould?  It could be a form of botrytis.

I will keep an eye open

No grey mould till now
about 20% is infected now
but the bulbs still look healthy

Then I am afraid it is botrytis Roland, a result of weather conditions I'm afraid

Next year I will spray earlier

strange it just happens in the Galanthus reginae-olgae ssp reginae-olgae from Sicily
and not with the other nearby Galanthus

I visited one of THE snowdrop gardens recently and three neighbouring clumps of snowdrops (not reginae-olgaes) were flat on the ground with botrytis.  The OIC went hustling off to get a spade, and presumably something strong to soak the soil with (there were many other clumps of snowdrops almost within touching distance). So it can happen in the best-tended gardens.

I wonder if there is an association between botrytis and plants in lush growth on rich soil? Does anyone want to comment on this?
