Amaranthus species
« on: March 18, 2012, 11:24:54 PM »
A number of years ago I grew an Amaranthus that had light green leaves and pale to mid pink flowers. It was a "pass my down" plant from a dear gardening friend back in the days that I was starting the garden and accepting any plant but not having any to exchange in return.
I would love to grow this plant again as it was an easy plant for our conditions.
Any known sources of seed of this species which is possibly a common plant somewhere.

This one seems to vary in flower colour, according to googled pictures, but might be the one you are looking for:

As it is an annual, I guess you will have to grow it from seed. But please do not introduce something that could get invasive...
