Davey I'll happy to leave it with you but at least one Forumist has it or access to it as he sent me some seed maybe 18 months ago, not sure now, but a long time. To my shame I can't remember who it was. I usually have a good note of such things.

It hasn't germinated yet - I sowed it among the surface roots of an alder tree but I'm wondering if among willow roots would be a better bet. A nurserywoman called Joan McLachlan, no longer with us unfortunately, in Timaru, used to cut the willowroot in peat-like blocks from a nearby riverbank and swore by willowroot, (chopped) for many plants such as her dwarf rhodos, cassiopes and the like.

Someone on the Forum a while back mentioned have the Lathraea in bloom, the first time he'd seen it since he'd sown it, some few years previously.

Helen i certainly do it's a seedling from Walters gift, the early spring foliage is bright pink as you have seen, would it be able possible to send you some roots to propagate with.I can dig it up if you would like.

Lesley i don't mind,if somebody else has them as well, then seed from two sources might be better.I could always collect some for you as well Lesley,i know of two different locations were this plant grows.

Afraid not, Davey.

I've just heard from Jane that she has  found that Avon Bulbs can supply the Toothwort.   8)
