SRGC Lothians Branch day trip 2012
« on: June 23, 2012, 06:50:52 PM »
Today a busload  set off south from Edinburgh to first visit Carolside in the Borders on the banks of the River Leader near Earlston. Trip organiser Billy Carruthers had arranged for the  owner Rose Foyle to  show us round. Tea and home made cake were then taken. We then drove east via a lunch beak in Duns to Edrom Nursery where there were more refreshments, a trough and woodland garden to admire and plants to buy - these last filling the boot.

That looks a most successful day out - did you manage to miss most of the rain?
The gardens look superb.
... and there was tea, cake and retail therapy... bliss!
Margaret Young in Aberdeen, North East Scotland Zone 7 -ish!
