Evax carpetana
« on: July 02, 2012, 10:54:34 PM »
I grew this from SRGC seed (collected by Rafa).  I had seen a similar species in Cyprus many years ago and was quite taken with it so when I saw it in the seed list I had to have it.
I pricked off the seedlings 5 to a small pot.  They were doing fine in the greenhouse till the weather turned damp and cold and are now gradualy damping off.  If the weather had been better I would have planted some out.  It is an annual and I'm not sure if I'll get seed so please Rafa collect some more this year :-* ;D

I think this little daisy should be Evax carpetana ... I've changed the thread name.
The AGS encyclopaedia makes no mention of the plant being an annual -  details such as that are often missing, which I find a nuisance.

Thanks for the correction, Maggi.  I had it written down wrongly somewhere and did not check the original before posting.
The introductory paragraph in the AGS encyclopaedia starts off 'Between 15 and 20 small woolly green annuals'.
You had me wondering there how I knew it was an annual ;D

Oh right... I only looked at the online page for that plant. No mention there.

Interesting that there  are hundreds of thousands of search (google) results for E. carpetanus and only a few thousand  for E. carpetana  :-\
