Beth Chatto's garden
« on: August 03, 2012, 05:51:10 PM »
We visited Beth Chattos' garden earlier in the week, somewhere you can go quite often and always enjoy the visit.  The first group of pictures are in the dry garden before you pay to go in.  Some very nice colour combinations here.  The Agapanthus in the first picture is an Agapanthus Arderni hybrid.

The next group are in the garden itself.  The first picture shows another group of Thalia from the plant identification question on the another thread.  The seventh is a Veratrum.

Again from within the garden.  The first picture is Inula, the third pots of lillies in Beth Chatto's own area and fourth Acanthus mollis or Bear's Breeches its common name.

Beautiful shots!  I'd love to visit there!
I would have thought the first photo above would be Telekia speciosa, rather than an Inula, no?

You may be correct Lori. Unfortunately there wasn't a label and were well back in the border.
