It looks like a species rather than a hybrid but other than that.....? Is it very tall?

Hello Paifu, welcome to the forum.
 All I know is that your Dahlia is an anemone-flowered type  similar to the species Dahlia rudis but I think it is more likely a modern cultivar....

Yes, is a very tall plant.
