here are some pics from my Strumaria  :D

Strumaria truncata
Strumaria salteri
Strumaria chaplinii

I have some more of this wonderful small plants ...but either we had bad weather or/and I had no time ...

Nice plants Hans :)

I only have aestivalis at flowering size but have now some small seedlings of watermeyeri (from Silverhill seeds - sown may 2012). How long from seed to flowering - do you know?

I have never grown self Strumaria from seeds to flowering ...

If i have any seeds ( they are often self fertil ) I wait until they are ripe and than I put it in the same pot like like the motherplants ...thats work fine

They're delicate little things aren't they?  I have very little experience with them, but what I have seen I liked!!  ;D  So small in real life though, and you can see so much more in photos on your computer.  ;)  I find that with a lot of the things that I grow.

two of my Strumaria decided to bloom this year
Strumaria truncata(has a wonderful scent)
Strumaria salteri(no scent)

I've only limited experience with this genus - mostly bad :(
Just got some seedlings of S. salteri recently - how do you guys grow yours?
Do they need a dry period?

they grows fine ...no big problem  :D
They are strictly wintergrowers ...same treatment like the other wintergrowing amaryllids ( Hessea ,Gethyllis ...)
very good drainage -only few water -thats all
