My first Snowdrop Event. PIX ADDED

Yesterday was my first Snowdrop Event at Chelsea Physic Garden. There really weren't sufficient varieties or large enough drifts to warrant a trip to london soley to see the 'drops but combined with the botanical watercolour course and Joe Sharman's display (Theatre) and Stall, it made for a very worthwhile day out.
Joe's terracotta pots were to die for. I love "Nothing Special" but sadly there were none for sale, same story with Trumps. The lady said they might get one today but I was returning home later that evening so missed out but it's definately on my "must have' list. You're so right it's much better to see a clump and choose what you like because some of them really pop out.
I came away with some of the more inexpensive ones, Sharlockii, Viridapace, Comet, Galatea. This is my sixth attempt at writing this. I keep losing it as I try to post pictures. Hope this one works!
1. Joe Sharmans Display
2. Trym that i adore but was not for sale.
3. One of two of Joe's Stalls.
4. My painting of G. Madeleine from "Snowdrops Days" at CPG

Nice to hear about your first snowdrop event - glad you had a nice day. Am looking forward to a photo of your painting? Will we?
I found the hardest part about posting photos was the resizing. I have to resize photos alot to send in emails and an American friend asked why don't I use the Windows resizer? Well....'cos I had never heard of it. You just Google 'Windows resizer for XP', 'Windows 7' or whatever you use and then download the tool.
When the tool is installed you simply select your photo as a thumbnail in Pictures and right click. In the drop down menu you will see 'Resize photo' > select that > another box appears and I select SMALL for this forum. It saves another exact copy of the photo with (small) attached to it. When you attach photos and browse - just select the (Small) version for posting.
I now do this in batches as you can do many at a time. I then put these in a seperate SRGC folder ready to post.
I hope this helps.

Glad you had a nice day Jacqueline and I am looking forward to seeing some photographs of the day.
Chelsea Physic garden is one that I keep intending to visit but have never actually got round to it - and as I work in central London it is probably the nearest snowdrop garden to my work!

Finally added the Pix using "resizemyimage.com" It's free if anyone else is using a Mac and doesn't want to buy a resizing App. Very easy to use, it goes without saying if I can do it
Please go back to the first post in this thread to see them.

Well done Jacqueline, I reckon you should be pleased with yourself, a very nice picture of 'Madelaine' and some good ones of the display too, thanks. I was confused to start with as the way I see the thread meant that your comment today appeared and I could see no pictures until I went back to the start of the thread...but then I am tired and old

Jacqueline your painting looks great, I wish I had that talent. Love the display at Chelsea Physic, remember seeing similar when the CGS Snowdrop Day went to Hanham Court a few years ago.
