Out here Tulipa heweri provides a good display and Tulipa greigii 'Goldenes Prague' opens up almost without a stalk !

May I suggest a visit by Tulip lovers to the pages of Plantes Passion, where you wll see some fantastic photos of tulips, in solitary splendour and en masse  from several French Forumists  who are well known here....
