Well done Stan thanks for all the pictures you forgot to say that you won nearly every class but our friend Roma from Aberdeen won the Forrest medal with a super cyclamen. We had a wonderful weekend with really good speakers and first rate food drink and the rooms were indeed comfortable so thanks to Carol and David Shaw all the team behind the scenes plus thanks to the Hotel staff managed David was great at the address to the Haggis not sure about the write up for the Haggis it still runs around in Glen Clova??. cheers Ian the Christie kind

We had our breakdown meeting with the hotel this morning and they had been amazed at the energy and friendship withing the club. It was recognised that when the delegates arrived the 'team' expanded from 4 to 120 - everyone supporting and assisting wherever they saw a need. Particular thanks should go to John Owen for running the show and plant sales. We hope to see you back again next year when the event will be even better.
Ian, if you are sure of a sighting in Glen Clova then you could always advise the Highland Biological Recording Group of this, I an sure that they will be interested.

It was a great weekend - we had a great time - the days flew past though and again I managed not to see/speak to everyone I hoped to - for instance, never met Ivan McC. who I was looking forward to meeting.
It was fantastic to meet the trio of gardeners from
VIRAGS
- whose society is older than SRGC or AGS - so much for the Brits thinking they started all this rock garden stuff!
These SRGC supporting ladies from Victoria were all suffering with colds but hadn't let that hold them back and seemed to be having lots of fun on their trip and at the weekend. So very charming to meet new friends from around the world - here's hoping that Bryce Fradley, Jennifer Rogers and the VIRAGS President, Yvonne Rorison enjoy the rest of their trip and arrive back home without their colds and with lots of happy memories.
I think they were certainly the weekend's furthest travelled visitors - it was just lovely to have them join us.

Well done to Roma, was this her first Forrest?

My third one, David. Gentiana acaulis 'Krumrey' at Aberdeen in 1991 and Cyclamen rohlfsianum at the 2004 Discussion weekend so I'm not exactly in competition with the likes of Cyril.

Stan has given you an overall picture of the Show. I took some closer pictures of the Gentians and Cyclamen but did not get round to photographing anything else.
Stan and I were the only people showing in the Gentian classes.

glad it kept nice for the display.
The last time I was out a Roma's house I got to see all her lovely cyclamen some wonderful plants there.
She also had lots of lovely crocuses growing all over her lawn, so pretty.
