Thank you Anthony, we Yorkshiremen are so polite and gentile to our fellow beings. Unlike, of course, those southern softies masquerading as Lancastrians. So course and vulgar I find them ;D

I'm so happy that lovely friends visited the other day - bearing a  very large chocolate cake - apart that their visit and kindness did both Ian and I the world of good, ( it's a long story!) it has meant that with the great number of Forumists birthdays around this time, we are able to celebrate these happy events with cake!

Happy birthday to them all!

Maggi - I think both you and Ian deserve a really good chocolate cake from all of us Forumist's too! On the other hand perhaps you are eating too much chocolate - a good carrot cake instead! As my daughter's birthday is just coming up I agree wholeheartedly with any celebrations.

Tim do you think that anyone can eat to much chocolate  :o Chocolate gives you that happy feeling and with this miserable weather its needed.
Maggi you could have given me a shout if it was a very big chocolate cake there was no way you and Ian would have managed to eat it all, I could have helped out  ;)

Angela, if you come by for a coffee tomorrow morning, there is still some left - it was a VERY big cake!

No Angie - but the problem is when you have a daughter who keeps discovering your secret supplies (or as she would say, vice versa!).

I did start a Happy Birthday 2013 for David's 70th but seem to have managed to put it in the wrong section - perhaps Maggi could work her magic?
