This could also go in the "I'm so Happy" Thread; 2 and a half years ago I got some Habranthus robustus seed from Cris in Portugal and today the first flower opened
It was a cool morning so the bloom wasn't fully out but I wanted to get a pic to post, so here it is

This is the "commercial form" of the Habranthus martinezii x H. robustus which I got ages ago but doesn't flower as much as our own hybrid [see reply #4]. Another seedling from the cross took 6 years to bloom - on Sunday! - but I didn't take a pic, in my opinion the one I showed earlier is the better flower but this commercial form is darker than either of them.

Fosteri, primulina and 'Grandjax' normally flower in October.

The flavissima is one of the yellow Cooperias, jonesii or smallii.

Hi Alberto,
here they seem to be mainly Feb - April depending on when the rain falls.

I've had C. smallii before and I wonder how this one got to be here - but it's a recently "renovated" bed so it could've been moved here or been hidden under the shrub that used to be here!
Any idea on this one? The nearest label was broken and says"Habrant...brachya...."

From this, and from other floriferous clumps of bulbs you've been showing us, Fermi, I'd say you are certainly getting a good deal from all  these flowers. It's a pleasure to see them.

I'm glad you like them, Maggi.
I guess they grow for us the way cool climate plants like Corydalis grow for you - but we have to do the cross-pollinating ourselves

This is not true, Maggi, he is too modest. He grows them to perfection and several are not easy at all.

Fermi, the one in your picture looked canary yellow as smallii and jonesii. Not crystal white as drummondi, traubi or pedunculata.
