AGS Kent Spring Show at Rainham - Sat 16th March
« on: March 15, 2013, 06:54:52 PM »
A reminder for all those in and around the south-east. If you would like the story of preparations for the Show see the AGS website. Meanwhile a little boxful of saxifrages from Aberconwy to tempt you...

Duly tempted ... but Aberconwy are also selling their beautiful plants at Blackpool Show, Tim and that is nearer.  Good luck to the organisers of both shows and, of course, to ourselves for our very own EAST LANCASHIRE SHOW at Whitworth, near Rochdale next Saturday 23rd March.

I'd heard that, David - it's that which is responsible for a small but significant "blip" in the UK's manufacturing figures, I'm told!
I know the "Hoppers" come by ferry, but I was really worried  when the Channel Tunnel/Eurostar was  out of commission earlier this week- I  thought the Hoppers might find themselves with  snow-blocked roads and cancelled ferries..... would the Rainham Show cope without them, I wonder? :o ::) ;)
Scary prospect!

The weather only had us worried for an hour or so, Maggi - Snow ploughs were on standbye to clear the roads if need be.... no way to stop us !

Really nice to meet Yann at the Show and to see all those great pictures. For another overview see the AGS website. But really lets get a bit more debate and comment on the Shows there - they are not just the preserve of the judges and wonderful write ups in the Journal; they should be celebrated on the website too... confidence is a personal thing as well as instilled by the judgement of others.
