There are those who are great fans though, David and it is good to alert those who use it to the presence of our friends.

I hope that the broad range of subjects we cover in the SRGC  Forum give as good a service to our members as possible. My own feeling  about the social networking sites is that they are run for the information gathering for commercial purposes - which seems not to concern some folks at all but then we are all entitled to our opinions ....

Maggi, I ignore all the commercial stuff, as a matter of fact I don't even notice it anymore.  When you have a computer they a Tracking you all the time anyway, ( big brother ) they know every move you make.

You are most likely correct, Michael, but for me there is a difference in being watched and  in signing up to be watched for profit   :-X

Gerry, I believe it may be Twitter that one uses for such important  announcements as the changing of one's socks and what kind of jam one had on one's  toast   ;D ;D

Maggi - thank you for enlightening me. Like most of my generation, I  make such announcements in the Personal Columns of The Times.
