A few days ago I had the opportunity to visit a site of Adonis :

Looks like Buglossoides purpurocaerulea Hans. Lovely plant but only to be planted if you have acres of space to spare - it does like to run rampage. I bought a 9cm potful from Beth Chatto and it plans on covering Suffolk in the next year or two.

Hans the Adonis vernalis is so lovely, its like a bright sun. You really go walking in some lovely places.

Hans we have had two days of sun, wonderful but its back to rain and colder temperatures next week. Show another sunny flower and the sun might pop out again  ;)
