My cat Felix has often visit me in the greenhouse - sometimes he was sleeping inside -no Problem

Tidy ? why tidy ? 
My wife thinks completly different !

Does Felix never get covered in prickles, maybe is a clever cat  When I had three cats they all used to sleep in the greenhouse and always on my favourite plants. One good thing I never had a mouse problem maybe its time I get another cat.

Pity you lived so far away Hans you could have a look in my greenhouse, I find it hard to keep tidy. There is always leaves, pots and watering cans everywhere, I do throw everything under the benches if I know I am getting a visit from a gardening friend. I can't see any mess in yours

I have simply no room for a mess under the benches ...I need every cm for pots ...

But - you should look my "potting shed" in our basement

I always use the excuse for an untidy greenhouse that the 'good' insects also need living space so they can drive off the 'bad' insects - avoiding that 'biological vacuum' at any cost!

What surface do you need?
For a few M2 I use a frame covered with Dutch lights but with the glass replaced with shading net.They are very light and easy to put on and off and don't blow away(it is often very windy here).I use 30% net and if needed put two on top of each other giving the plants extra protection.
But I 'd like some good ideas for a bigger structure.

John sorry for not replying sooner but had a wee stay in hospital. This is my greenhouse. I did buy green shading but was always finding it in the woods behind the greenhouse. I have heard that you can attach it to drainage pipes and roll in up and down. I tried that but it still ended up in the woods. It's really windy here.
Hopefully someone will gives us some more ideas.
Shade will be of son but would be nice to get something organised for next years scorcher of a summer

Thanks David for the link. I will get hubby to measures and see what I would require. My friends have just had a Hartley greenhouse built and they have lovely blinds that are fitted inside, really posh looking but what a shock I got when they told me what the blinds cost. My husband would kill me if I spent that much on shade. It was more that what my greenhouse cost him to build.

I think I will get away with four blinds so thats not to bad I think, birthday soon so that would be a nice present

It seems that you have no roofvents on your greenhouse.Why not then put a cable on the top of the roof and another close to the gutter.
Are there like buttonholes in your shade net?Otherwise one can buy clips with a hole in it.You run the cables through the holes.Then you can glide your net as you wish,not on the top but on the side of the roof ot the greenhouse.
That is what I have done.
I have also attached a string in the middle of the side of the net to make it easy to pull it over the glass and another to fold it.
It is very cheap(specially as you already have the net) and efficient even in a windy spot.
I hope you understand my messy explanation???

Your explanation was perfect. Another nice sunny day here so I can honestly say that I need the shade on the greenhouse this year. Last year was a terrible year and shade wasn't even in my thoughts.
No roof vents in the greenhouse as it was cheaper to buy the big panes of toughened glass without the vents
