Love your card Martin. It's appropriate for here as Telecom, my constant bete noire is outsourcing our directory service (where you can get a phone number for anyone not in your local book) to Indonesia. We're all wondering how the Indonesians will cope with our sometime very complicated Maori placenames, especially as even the local 111 (999 to you) service sometimes sends an ambulance to Hawera (western North Island) instead of to Hawea (lower south Island). There's a problem to start with. 111 calls being handled by 2 regional offices instead of many smaller, local offices.

Yeah, I understand the problem.  There's also the problem of then being able to actually understand the operator you get, because despite the english training some of the Indian call centres (Yep, we get them for everything as well) still have people who are virtually intelligible.  I now will refuse to deal with people who have outsourced the call centres to India.  If they can't be bothered supported Australian workers in this industry then I can't be bothered supporting their beusiness.

And Mark, as to Christmas cards..... well the majority of them have been made, just not sent off as yet.  At least this year we're likely to actually get them into the mail before Christmas, as so often we're intending to do it and then it doesn't happen before Christmas so we decide it isn't worthwhile doing it!! 

See, more proof that I'm not a total Bah Humbug.... we put up Christmas lights AND send Christmas cards.  What more could you want?

Lesley, I guess that would be Hawera as in Narcissus 'Hawera', which I think was raised in NZ; I now assume by a breeder who lives or lived in or near Hawera?

REMEMBER THIS AT CHRISTMAS TIME
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and
female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. 
Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

My first glass of Bhunnahaven on Chrismas Eve will be a tost to each and every member of the Forum (I make it the first as I suppose as the evening goes on I shall have less and less relocation of who I'm toasting!)
