Bulb Log 32
« on: August 13, 2013, 03:32:41 PM »
Your 'Flan' tough looks great Ian, I didn't realise broken concrete block would look so good planted up.

Is the compost also just sharp sand as used in the larger make over?

Also your bulb log has inspired me to make a bulb plunge bed in my greenhouse next weekend Ian.

The lovely bulbs I received from Janis a couple of weeks ago have already been potted up ready for plunging.

Mike,

The broken concrete looks great - most people who see them in real life do not believe me when I tell them that is what the rock is.

The compost is just sharp  sand exactly as in the large version - watch for a few more 'Flan' troughs appearing in coming bulb logs.

Good luck with your plunge it will bring you years of pleasure.

edit by maggi to add "sand" after sharp!!
