FINCHALE was no magic. I exchanged the species. It is not a nivalis, it is a peshmenii.
But it has the elegant figure of FINCHALE ABBEY, hasn`t it?!

Maggi, most of the fine flowers out of the norm are often a little bit ill. The Whites but also some of the better greens and yellows too.
These white flowers are a happy group this year.

Yes, indeed it has Hagen.  How nice to see the shape in the autumn!

I have never had problems with hardiness in the garden, lowest I have been is -9c two years ago but never get flowers as they are eaten off by slugs as soon as they start to emerge.

I quite agree nearly every year Tilebarn Jamie is attacked and this year was no exception- see below not a shoot untouched. I did wonder could it be mice ? but last night slug treatment caught a blighter. Strange though not a yard away another group - the second picture( a gift from Tony Willis ;) is untouched. Needless to say I have been treating the RO's with slug clear a liquid jobbie which gets the little ones ::)

I got this as Galanthus ikarie ssp. snogerupii, which it isn't. Can anyone put a name on it?
It is flowering now without leaves. These are about 8 mm and glaucous  when they come in a month or two.

Thought I might have a flower or two this year from my 2009 seed sown (seed from Tony Willis) reginae olgae but maybe next year! Er, no I'm not getting galanthophilistic tendencies ;D

Poul,
only a pic of the flower isn`t enough to give the right answer.  Is there a silvery midline on the (later) leaves too?

Here is a nice portrait of a cyclamineus-type of Gp.
It seems the flower would like to fly into the spring time.
