2 unknown species

While on a bus tour to Southern UK/Cornwall I found 2 plant species which
I wasn't able to name - so I would be glad to receive an identification

1.  growing in the park beside the Royal Pavillion in Brighton
2. Proteaceae in a miniature Park in Saint Ives/Cornwall

I'd say Banksia for the second one Gerd, possibly serrata.

First one perhaps Skimmia and in particular the hybrid S x confusa 'Kew Green'

The first looks like Bupleurum fruticosum

Bupleurum fruticosum seems right (-sorry David) and Banksia also, at least the genus!

A new question - here is a Selaginella species, probably received from a German forum member
together with a Chinese Corydalis species. It is a good grower, hardiness not tested until now.
Once again I would be glad to receive an identification.

Oh Gerd,  these club mosses are all quite similar 

I will suggest Selaginella kraussiana

Thank you Maggi - this seems the most probable identification.
The species should not be hardy here - nevertheless I will try some
pieces outside.

It has become naturalised - and a problem as an invasive weed - in parts of the UK, so I would keep a close eye on it.

Thank you for the warning  - I live in the cooler part of Germany - USDA Zone 7 b - but nevertheless I'll take care.
I just managed to introduce Oxalis valdiviense in my garden and there is no need for more weeds.
