it is similar like Belamcanda ....maybe in your Country it could be hardy
I had earlier Belamcanda ( als o grown from seeds ) it is died in a hard winter here - so I will not take a risk and I grow Iris "Hellow Yellow" in a pot ( in summer outside - in winter in my greenhouse )

It is hardy in my garden Z8b but a friend lost it in Z7  yet on the web people write even Z5 !!!
May be under a meter of snow and in pure sand!!!???
