No, it was the lucky find. But nearby some hybrids with it grew. I had opportunity to see and draw certain conclusions.
Ukraine, Kherson.
Mintemp -32C (Over the last 50 years. Absolute minimum - winter of 1939-1940 -39C),
Maxtemp +41C (2005 y).

Thanks! I wait for blossoming of snowdrops, with impatience. This year much more trips are planned. And not less than 5 species for search.

now today ( after a long time silence ) some pics from here :

Galanthus snogerupii ( ex Glen Chantry )
Galanthus fosterii
Galanthus cilicicus
Galanthus elwesii v. monostictus

After the horrible last winter year where so many snowdrops are died but have I received from some nice friends a replacement ...I'm now more carefully and so I grow all this tender snowdrops in pots in my greenhouse ( if it is warm enough so I take the trays outside )
Today is it unusual warm here ...we have 15° with some sun and a lot of wind

My best wishes for all snowdrop friends for a Merry Christmas  :D
...and maybe St.Claus will bring you a lot of new plants
