Cliff's talk on  the flowers of the Dolomites to the Borders group last night was most enjoyable -lots of colourful  plants and impressive scenery - not to be missed!

The cream rose to the top of the alpine cup tonight- super talk from Cliff - photographs of super quality to delight and enthuse - great evening - he did slip in a few buttercups - but I think he got away with that

It was a grand evening, I  must agree with Angie.  There can be few better antidotes to a wet February night in Aberdeen than a tour of some of the best alpine plants and places - all in glorious sunshine!

Two lectures in to the tour and it appears to be going well.  The hospitality has been amazing and friendships have already been rekindled and reaffirmed. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts and to the weather gods who have granted us sun and reasonably clear skies.  We look forward to meeting the members of the other five participating groups and send our thanks to everyone who has attended the meetings so far.
Our love and thanks to Maggi and Ian, Ron and Susan, Christine, Angie, and Stan for your kindness.

Many thanks Kris and Ingrid, we are encountering the same exceptional hospitality and enthusiasm here in Scotland as we did in beautiful Belgium.  Five lectures down and two to go … looking forward to meeting everyone at Castle Douglas and Perth on Monday and Tuesday respectively.

By the time Cliff got to Dunblane on Thursday night he had already sold out of stocks of his book, so there were none left for us.  We just had to drool over the wonderful pictures on the screen.

Cliff and Sue are criss-crossing the country - if they can't remember the way home after all this we'll just have to keep them

We are home safe and sound after a very tiring, but thoroughly enjoyable tour of the highways and byways of bonny Scotland and (equally bonny) Northumberland.
We wish to place on record our thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the SRGC; to tour organiser, John Owen; to the various Group Convenors; to our magnificent hosts and hostesses; to the generous and amiable folk who welcomed us to their houses and beautiful gardens; to those of you who purchased and hopefully enjoyed our little book and to all the people who attended the seven presentations and made us feel so welcome. 
The weather was mostly clement and the warmth of the welcome certainly made up for any slight chill in the air.  We covered 1412 miles in the ten days and made some wonderful new pals and rekindled friendships with the nicest of people.  Our kindest regards and thanks to you all.
