A good pair of Paeonia which I think is great if you are going to sow seeds:
Paeonia emodi
Paeonia tenuifolia

Although charming many species Paeonia like P. tenuifolia or mlokosewitschii do not flower for very long. Paeonia lactiflora cultivars are not everybody's cup of tea but are in my opinion better garden plants.
